FAQ

What is the difference between Estelite Sigma Quick and Estelite Omega?

Estelite Omega is Tokuyama's Flagship universal composite designed specifically for layering. Estelite Omega is an extremely comprehensive system simplifying the layering technique with just 11 shades. There are two kits a Deluxe Kit and a Basic Kit, included in both kits are an instructional DVD of live patients and a CD offering a step by step technique for the most popular case types. Omega is available in both syringe and PLT (Pre-Loaded Tips).

Although Estelite Sigma Quick is not designed specifically for layering it is an excellent composite and may be used for layering. Filler and physical properties are the same with Estelite Omega and Estelite Sigma Quick, and you will find no difference in handling or polishing. Besides packaging and shade availability the only difference in Omega and Sigma Quick are the shades, you will find that the shades are very different between the two systems.

What is the depth of cure for Estelite Omega?

The recommended depth of cure is 2mm; however, it is important to always check your light and when using a material for the first time to read the manufacturers instructions for use (IFU).

What is the brush in the Estelite Omega Kit made of and how do I clean the brush?

The bristles are made of nylon and the handle is wood. The brush may be soaked in ethyl alcohol for overnight, if left long term in the solution the brush will discolor but is still functional. Do not place the brush in the autoclave or chemical units to sterilize, Tokuyama will not guarantee the results. Prior to soaking in ethyl alcohol place a small amount of alcohol in a dappen dish, swirling the brush in the alcohol to remove any access residue from the composite or Estelite Color.
